The 2020 Tokyo Olympics are 483 days away, not that I have this countdown clock bookmarked or anything. If you miss watching five-time Olympic gold medalist Katie Ledecky smash world records and literally lap her competitors as much as I do, the newest episode in NBA star Steph Curry's YouTube series 5 Minutes From Home is the exact little slice of joy that you need.

The show is like a mini-Carpool Karaoke, minus the music; Steph and his guests (who have included rappers, YouTube stars, and the mayor of Oakland) meet up after a basketball game, chill in the back of a Lyft, shoot the breeze, and usually make a pit stop for food. This episode features Katie and the 9-year-old Golden State Warriors fan Riley Morrison, who called Steph out for not including girls' sizes in his shoe line. (To which he replied, "You're right, and let's design a pair together.")

In the six-minute video, Katie, Steph, and Riley tell dad jokes (so many dad jokes), try on swim caps (shout-out to Steph for putting his on sideways at first, because same), and pull over for tacos at a food truck. The ride started right before midnight — and Katie had a training session at 6:30 a.m. the next day.

Steph was impressed with her dedication. "That speaks to your success being no accident," he said in the video.

"Can't miss a practice, right?" Katie said. "I like practice more than I like racing!"

In an interview with the Washington Post afterwards, Katie said, "I knew it was going to be a late night, and I told Steph that . . . He knows what that kind of practice schedule was like. But I didn't want to pass up that kind of opportunity." At the end of the (very long) day, it was worth it. "I couldn't stop smiling, the whole time we were in the car," she said.

Watch to the end of the video to see them chow down on tacos and hear Steph shamelessly invite himself to one of Katie's training sessions. Her reply? "You have a cap now. Hop in."
