Hiking is one intense and inspiring workout! Aside from it toning the glutes and thighs and working your cardiovascular system, a 150-pound woman burns 465 calories in just one hour of hiking uphill. And Lea and her friend Stephanie Levinson hiked for eight miles, which probably took them at least two and a half hours — that's over 1,160 calories. And that doesn't count hiking back down!
