Many of these ingredients are staples in a healthily stocked kitchen, so you'll already have them at home, ready to go when you're in need of a light breakfast or snack. It offers 40 percent of your recommended fiber for the day to keep digestion regular, and you'll be glad to know that despite its hue from the spinach, nothing tastes too "green" in this blend.
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk
1 medium banana, frozen or fresh
1/2 cup crushed ice
2 tablespoons unsweetened almond butter
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1 teaspoon golden flaxseeds
1 cup baby spinach
Sprinkle of cacao nibs and unsweetened coconut, to garnish
- Combine all ingredients except cacao nibs and coconut in a high-speed blender, and blend until smooth.
- Sprinkle garnishes on top, and enjoy immediately!
