Popsugar Fitness Weight Loss CrossFit Before and Afters These Astounding Before-and Afters Will Make You Head to the Nearest CrossFit Box June 16, 2018 by Jenny Sugar View On One Page Photo 15 of 21 ADVERTISEMENT () Start Slideshow 4 years ago, to the week. 4 years ago Thanksgiving weekend I decided that come hell or high water I was going to lose weight and get in shape. I set my mind to it and absolutely nothing was going to get in my way of fulfilling that promise to myself. I started at 233 pounds and through eating clean (#whole30), gradual exercise and sheer will power, grit and determination, 19 months later I weighed in at 130 pounds. Since then, I've put on some pounds of muscle via CrossFit training 5X per week. I've never felt better, happier or healthier in my life. Sure, I still have lose skin around my belly, it's especially noticeable when I'm planking or jump roping. Some days it makes me so sad and pissed off to see it still there, as it's not an outward reflection of how I feel and all my hard work. Other days I don't give two shits and I think to myself that the skin is a reminder of how I got my life back, a reminder of how I earned this body. Ultimately I gave myself the gift of confidence, accessibility and availability to all the beautiful things in life I enjoy, such as kayaking, hiking, trail running, triathlon, snowshoeing, skiing. All those activities are much easier in this body. I don't know if I'm more proud of the fact that I lost the weight, or that I did it in such a way as to be able to change my habits so soundly- that I've maintained the weight loss for 4 years. Either way, I'm a happy human and I love that this journey is part of my story. It's made me more empathetic and understanding towards others who find themselves in similar situations. It's ensured that I never take my health and body for granted. Through this process I learned what to eat, how much to eat and when to eat. I've learned balance. I've learned that I still love pizza and beer and make room for those joys often in my life. It's all about balance. Im forever grateful that Becca on the left found that grit and didn't let anything stop her! #whole30 #whole30alumni #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #paleo #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #crossfit #crossfittransformation #crossfitweightloss A post shared by Becca Swain (@becca__swain) on Nov 20, 2017 at 10:08am PST Share This Link Copy ← Use Arrow Keys → 15 Previous Next Start Slideshow Weight LossBefore And After Weight LossCrossFitThen And Now
