7 Fierce Female Trainers to Follow on Instagram For At-Home and Gym Workouts

I am a huge — emphasis on huge — fan of Instagram workouts. They're easy-to-follow routines I can find and save for later (you wouldn't believe the number of ab and booty videos I have on deck). When it comes to the trainers who post these helpful guides, you probably know household names like Kayla Itsines, Kelsey Wells, Alexia Clark, and Jillian Michaels. But I wanted to do some digging to find certified trainers you may not have heard of yet, depending on how well-versed you are in the realm of Instagram workouts.

I'm a firm believer in the fact that you can never have too many options for exercise straight from qualified professionals with a solid following on social media — you just need to know where to look. These trainers, all females in the fitness industry, post kick-butt workouts you can do at the gym or at home with the right equipment (though some require no equipment at all!). Plus, they're kick-butt women, too. Check them out ahead!

01

Bailey Ducommun

We've featured Bailey on POPSUGAR before (exhibit A). The majority of the workouts she posts take place in the gym with weights — there's this dumbbell-only back and biceps routine, and this barbell-only glutes leg day routine — but she does have workouts you can do anywhere. Take this 30-minute HIIT circuit featuring plank shoulder taps, burpees, and jump squats, for instance. Her videos are ones I save often (aka, every day).

02

Charlee Atkins

Charlee is the founder of Le Sweat, and her Instagram feed features a wide range of workouts. Whether you want to work on your arms outdoors, use a kettlebell to tone your lower body, or do cardio and core, Charlee has got you covered. Check out her 30-minute HIIT cardio workout with Class FitSugar, too!

03

Megan Roup

Megan is the founder of The Sculpt Society. I took her class this month, and it was full of simple yet fun dance cardio and booty-toning leg exercises using ankle weights and sliders (as seen here). She posts footage from her group and private sessions on Instagram featuring circuits that will sculpt your lower body and core. Also, check her out teaching dance cardio on Class FitSugar!

04

Grow With Jo

Johanna, also known as "Grow With Jo" on Instagram, posts gym and at-home workouts for your booty, arms, abs — the list goes on. She gets real about her own fitness journey and provides her followers with labeled videos and a glimpse into her everyday meals.

05

Ruba Ali

Ruba is another trainer who posts a wide range of workouts using equipment you can find in the gym (or, if you're lucky, at home). Recently, she's shared this leg day routine, this core and legs workout, and this core, back, and biceps circuit. They will definitely bring the heat!

06

Kim French

From home HIIT to weighted glutes and abs and obliques, Kim has it all on her Instagram. There's so much useful content on her feed that you could spend weeks finding the perfect workouts for you, trust me.

07

Ajahzi Gardner

Ajahzi's workout videos, like many trainers, focus on specific muscle groups — so, she'll have one dedicated to quads and glutes, then post about shoulders, chest, and triceps next. She also dives into her own progress following the guides she's created for clients.
