Starbucks's New Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew Is Dusted With Cinnamon

Starbucks is infusing its latest coffee creation with the essence of cinnamon rolls. On Tuesday, March 7, the brand unveiled a new Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew inspired by "salted caramels and gooey sticky buns." The syrupy drink features cinnamon and caramel swirled into a traditional Nitro Cold Brew, capturing the smell of freshly baked pastries in a sippable treat. In place of icing, the semisweet drink is topped with cinnamon sweet cream cold foam and dusted with cinnamon dolce topping.

"The simple, elevated taste puts you in that artisanal-bakery mindset."

Ahead of the drink's public release, POPSUGAR got a first taste of the new coffee selection. "I actually gave up drinking coffee for about five years, only starting up again in 2022," said POPSUGAR's social content director, Alexandra Bolles. "Honestly, I came back to it for drinks like the Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew that marry function and flavor. The simple, elevated taste puts you in that artisanal-bakery mindset. It will pair perfectly with a book and the sunshine this spring. And yes, this is absolutely the most I've ever gushed about a Starbucks beverage."

Like the Pumpkin Spice Latte you know and love, the cold brew is spiced with comforting fall flavors and features a slight caramel aftertaste. The icy twist and hint of caramel drizzle make it the perfect warm-weather drink to sip on while waiting for your favorite seasonal beverages — like the fruity summer Refreshers and the Chocolate Cream Cold Brew — to return.

A grande, 16-ounce, Cinnamon Caramel Cream Nitro Cold Brew ranges in price from $5 to $6 depending on the location. The full list of ingredients includes brewed coffee, cinnamon sweet cream, milk of your choice, vanilla syrup, cinnamon dolce syrup, cinnamon caramel-flavored syrup, water, salt, and cinnamon dolce topping.

News of the aromatic drink comes less than a month after the coffee giant announced changes to its Starbucks Rewards program, namely the value of the program's stars currency. In addition to the new coffee offering, the brand released a collection of spring drinkware in vibrant hues for 2023, a follow-up to its heartwarming Valentine's Day tumblers and cold cups.
