DAMN — Obama's Photographer Sure Didn't Hold Back in His Latest Takedown of Trump

Pete Souza never skips a beat. You can always — and I mean always — count on the Barack Obama-era White House photographer to tastefully troll Donald Trump each and every time the president makes headlines for yet another awkward blunder. Whereas some of Souza's past takedowns of the POTUS have been rather subtle, his latest zinger was clear as day.

It all started on April 26 when Trump had a bizarre, rambling interview with his favorite cable news station, Fox News. Before chatting with the Fox & Friends hosts about recent events and policies, he announced that it was Melania's birthday that day, which prompted the show hosts to ask what he got his wife to celebrate the big day.

"Well, I better not get into that 'cause I may get in trouble. Maybe I didn't get her so much," he said before following up that he did get her "a beautiful card and some beautiful flowers." He also added, "You know, I'm very busy to be running out looking for presents, OK?" Well, dang — apparently "very busy" translates to playing golf and tweeting Kanye West.

Hours after Trump's Fox News interview started making the rounds, Souza took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Trump's lack of gift-giving. He posted a throwback snap of Barack and Michelle looking as cute as ever in the good ol' days and captioned the photo, "Singing Happy Birthday to the First Lady in 2013. He always gave her a present too."

It's impossible to miss the rather stark contrast between these two lovebirds and our current president and first lady who don't even like to hold hands with each other. Oh, how we miss those simpler times.

Who needs an umbrella to shield you from the sun when you've got Pete Souza's glorious shade-throwing abilities to hypothetically protect you?
