Between the parades, food, and amped-up rides, Halloween Time at Disneyland is an incredible experience. If you love the holiday, you'll really appreciate how the park goes all out for the month of October.

If you want to avoid crowds and long lines, going during the second half of September or throughout all of November is optimal. Historically this is the time of the year when the least amount of people are visiting.

Flights and hotels will be much less expensive because they aren't in high demand during the Fall. If you plan on staying overnight, you will see significant rate drops beginning in late September.

Pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin beignets, and apple pie funnel cake are just a few of the special offerings the park has during Fall. Let's not forget the incredible caramel apples you can find around every corner.

Southern California's Autumn weather is ideal — it's not particularly hot or cold and it rarely rains. All you need is a light jacket and you can enjoy the park without worrying about sweating or shivering.

Colorful leaves, piles of pumpkins, and happy scarecrows cover the park. You will feel like you stepped into a Fall Halloween wonderland. You will never see the park like this at any other time of the year.

Even if you've been to Disneyland before, you can experience the rides in a whole new light during Halloween Time. The Haunted Mansion undergoes a The Nightmare Before Christmas makeover with a storyline surrounding Jack Skellington. Space Mountain gets a little scary when it becomes a ghost galaxy.
