I absolutely love the look of creamy pale skin with a matte lip in the Fall. It feels chic and cool — unlike Summer's breezy boho vibe. Thank God Charlotte Tilbury launched her new matte lipsticks just in time for sweater weather. My favorite shade ,Amazing Grace ($32), was inspired by Grace Kelly. The dusty rose hue is subtle enough for daytime but polished enough to be called a power pout. The square top makes application at my desk a breeze and the velvety texture ensures I won't need to follow up with lip balm 20 minutes later.

I recently read the KonMari method for tidying up and it has inspired me to keep a more edited product selection at home. As I downgrade, I am looking for multitasking formulas, and the new Oribe Imperial Blowout Transformative Styling Crème ($68) delivers. The blow-dry prep starts as a cream before emulsifying to become a reparative oil and finishing as a texturizing powder. It adds major volume and refreshes easily (just hit it with some cool air from your blow-dryer and massage your roots). I tested during a seriously humid, rainy day and was thrilled that my strands stayed frizz-free.

You've seen my essential love letter to Honest Beauty, but there's one product I forgot to highlight: the Truly Lush Mascara ($22). Whenever I try mascaras with primers, I hate them. They make my long lashes clump and never seem to dry. Not this one! The primer really does thicken up your lashes, and it dries quickly, so when you apply the mascara over it, you have flirty, coal-black eyelashes. —KJ

La Mer may be late to the oil game, but the luxe beauty brand just won it. Ever since La Mer The Renewal Oil ($240) landed on my desk, I can't stop patting it on my face multiple times a day. It's super light and refreshing without a trace of greasiness. And it's fun to apply! Like the famous Crème de la Mer — which is warmed up in between fingers before you apply — the oil is shaken to mimic this ritual and help activate the ingredients. The nourishing potion contains lime tea concentrate to protect from environmental damage as well as eucalyptus and sesame essential oils to give you a glow.

I rarely have time to treat my skin, but when I'm ready for a spa night, I pull out a Leaders Bye Bye to Dry Sheet Mask ($4) from my fridge (there are usually more masks in the veggie drawer than actual food).

This hydrating product has a mix of cactus and butterfly bush extract to infuse my complexion with moisture. After putting it on, I rub all of the excess serum into my skin before bed. In the morning, it looks as if I spent hundreds on a professional facial, but in reality this mask is less than five bucks (score!).

This might come as a shock, but I had to go on hiatus from my Clarisonic. (Gasp!) I still love the brand, but as someone who went overboard with it at the beginning, I can see the consequences on my skin — broken blood vessels. I was sad to give up my cleansing tool, but then was introduced to the Foreo Luna, an anti-aging and skin care device wrapped into one. No bristles, just medical-grade silicone (so it's essentially germ-free) is "tapped" via pulsations, which used to cleanse and smooth your skin. Plus, you only have to charge it once a year (or 450 uses). (Sorcery!) They just released their first-ever cleansers, and my favorite is the Day Cleanser. It uses probiotics to protect and moisturize your skin, and has a cool texture, too: it pumps out as a "yogurt" then transforms into a foam with water. — KJ

Before trying this product, I was strictly anti-lavender. I usually find the scent too soapy, powdery, or even dusty to be tolerable on my skin. But The Body Shop's lavender oil ($20, available in October) is deliciously fresh and floral, and is super soothing on the temples before bedtime. According to Jennifer Hirsch, the brand's beauty botanist, everything from provenance and altitude of growth to the distillation process can affect how the flower smells. This oil is extracted from hand-picked French lavender, which Hirsch declares as "perfect." This reformed hater is inclined to agree.

While I love a spicy-sweet PSL come Fall, I don't like how processed the faux pie smell can often be. This holds true for many beauty products, too. Eminence is a company that focused on high-quality natural skin care, and the seasonal Pumpkin Latte Hydration Mask ($52) doesn't disappoint. The genuine pumpkin fragrance is heavenly and the thick texture feels just as decadent.

It also works, leaving the skin moisturized. Pumpkin purée has antioxidants, avocado oil is nourishing, orange pulp offers vitamins, pineapple purifies, and chamomile calms. I only wish I could eat it . . .

Blurring primers are a great, but sometimes I find that my makeup slips off of them instead of lasting all day, defeating the purpose. I've been using Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer ($46) for the last month and I love it for a few reasons: it doesn't dry out my skin, it grabs onto my makeup for a full day, and it's full of skin-loving ingredients to help enhance your natural complexion. — KJ
