Dylan Minnette's popularity has grown an insane amount in the few weeks since 13 Reasons Why premiered on Netflix (he went from under 100,000 Instagram followers to over 2 million in a week). The 20-year-old actor, whom you probably already recognized from his previous roles, broke the hearts of people everywhere with his amazing portrayal of Clay Jensen, a slightly dorky high school kid whose longtime crush, Hannah Baker, kills herself. We imagine it's been a little harder for Dylan to go out of the house now that he's a new heartthrob, and that fact became extremely evident on Tuesday. The star posted a photo on Instagram of a message a 13 Reasons Why fan wrote on his car while he was parked at a gas station: "Sorry for Hannah." Dylan had a little bit of a sense of humor about it, writing, "I don't know if I should be flattered or scared about this being written on my car? Either way, I'm taking it as a reminder that I need to get my car washed."
While we're all for fun fan encounters, this one is just creepy. How did this fan know that was his car? Did they watch him, wait for him to leave for a minute, and then run over and write the message? Or was the message already there and he only just noticed it in the light of the gas station? Dylan's girlfriend, Ray Donovan actress Kerris Dorsey, had the perfect reaction with her comment, writing, "🎶run by awolnation plays🎶." We get being huge fans of the show (we're obviously obsessed), but there's definitely a line between being enthusiastic and just plain weird.
