Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have certainly had a whirlwind romance. After only a few weeks of dating, the couple are reportedly engaged! While we're certainly enjoying watching their romance blossom on social media, we're also curious to know more about the 24-year-old. For starters, the Staten Island native is a star on Saturday Night Live. He actually first met Ariana on the show, when she hosted in 2016. Before romancing Ariana, Pete was in a relationship with actress Cazzie David, who is Larry David's daughter. They dated for about two years before Pete confirmed their split in May.

When Pete was 17 or 18, he was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that affects the lining of the digestive tract. He would use marijuana as a way to cope with the pain but eventually checked into a rehabilitation program in December 2016, after experiencing mental breakdowns. During an appearance on the WTF With Marc Maron podcast in September 2017, Pete revealed that his symptoms were actually a result of borderline personality disorder, for which he is currently being treated.

5 He Lost His Father to the 9/11 Attacks

Pete's father, Scott Davidson, was one of the many heroic firefighters who died during the 9/11 attacks. Pete was only 7 years old when his father's unit went to the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel, which was destroyed when the Twin Towers collapsed. Aside from paying tribute to his father on Instagram from time to time, he also has his father's badge number, 8418, tattooed on his left arm.

In addition to having a tattoo in honor of his late father, Pete also has ink of Hillary Clinton's face, Harry Potter quotes, and his ex-girlfriend Cazzie's face, though he recently covered the latter up. His most recent ink is inspired by Ariana. Almost a week after confirming their romance on Instagram, Pete shared photos of his new tattoos, which feature an image of the black bunny mask the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer wore on the cover of her 2016 album, Dangerous Woman, and her initials on his right thumb.

7 He's a Huge Harry Potter Fan

Ariana and Pete's first Instagram photo together isn't the only time the comedian has shown off his love for Harry Potter. On top of his countless Harry Potter tattoos, Pete has also documented his love for the movies by live-tweeting his Harry Potter marathon. "When I was seven or eight, the first movie came out on my birthday, and I read all the books," he told Rolling Stone in April 2016 about his obsession.
