Do These 4 Things to Have an Amazing Poop Every Single Day

Is there any better, more satisfying feeling than having a good poop in the morning? You feel lighter, it prevents bloating during the day, and you don't have to worry about feeling embarrassed someone might hear (or smell) you using a public restroom to do your business. So what's the magic trick for taking an amazing poop every single day? Do these four (maybe five) things.

Keep This By Your Side

Keep a reusable water bottle by your side because staying hydrated throughout the day will help to flush out your system and prevent your stool from getting too hard, which can cause constipation. Set reminders on your phone every hour to make sure you drink at least 8 ounces.

Move It and Lose It

To keep your digestive system moving along, exercise is the magic key. It makes sense because moving your body and activating your muscles will trigger your digestive system to get moving. It doesn't have to be an intense hour-long run. A little physical activity every single day can bring on the urge to go. Taking a long walk, doing some yoga twists, or doing a little warming up can get things going, and may even be the key to pooping on command, like when you need to go before a race.

Eat the Greens!

Fiber is another important factor in whether you'll go or not. Women need between 25 and 30 grams of fiber a day. That's tough if you're focusing on a high-protein, low-carb diet. So be sure to eat lots of high-fiber foods like fruits such as berries, apples, and pears, and veggies like kale, spinach, and broccoli, whole grains, nuts and seeds, and avocado. Include these foods every time you eat.

Get Some Me-Time

Sometimes the one reason people don't go every day is because they ignore the urge to go and it passes, or they only visit the bathroom when they have the urge. You've got to give your body time to sit and relax. Choose one time every single day, where you're not rushing to get it done before leaving for work or stressed someone will walk in on you. Give yourself at least 10 minutes of quiet and calm. Put your feet up on a pooping stool to get your bowels in the right position, peruse Facebook or Instagram, check your email, or read a book. You'll be surprised that even though you didn't have the urge to begin with, magical things will happen.

. . . And if that doesn't work . . .

Call on Joe

Some people swear by drinking a hot cup of coffee. Whether it's the heat, the caffeine, or ingesting liquid that stimulates the muscles in your digestive tract to contract, you might want to try drinking a hot cup of coffee in the morning after you exercise and eat a fiber-filled breakfast. Then have a calming seat, and you'll be good to go.
