US Women's Soccer Team Ticker-Tape Parade NYC
The US Women's Soccer Team Makes History Again
On Friday, the US women's soccer team became the first women's team ever to be honored with a ticker-tape parade in NYC. The women — who clinched the FIFA Women's World Cup championship by beating Japan on Sunday — floated up Broadway on a storied stretch named "Canyon of Heroes," the same route that has honored many famous athletes and others for decades. Relive their best moments with a look at what it was like on the parade route — or as New York Mayor Bill de Blasio renamed it for the occasion, the "Canyon of Heroines."
