30 Products to De-Stress Like a Wellness Expert

As POPSUGAR editors, we independently select and write about stuff we love and think you'll like too. If you buy a product we have recommended, we may receive affiliate commission, which in turn supports our work.
Bouts of stress and anxiety sneak up on all of us, but this year, I've made it my mission not to let it beat me down. When I start to feel panicked, I try to take inventory of the situation and focus on gaining perspective. It might sound counterintuitive, but I've discovered that the easiest way to de-stress is to be prepared. For me, that means having the right wellness products at my disposal so that all I need to focus on is breathing and taking care of myself.
I've gathered the items I keep in stock so when I have a quick moment for self-care, I'm already prepared. Using these products makes me feel more centered, and allows me to get back to myself. Some of them I use to keep out of a panic, and some I indulge in when I'm already feeling calm, but I consider each one an important part of my self-care routine. They include but are not limited to, quality supplements, nourishing skin care, a yummy drink, sleep care essentials, and massage tools. Take a deep breath, and shop my picks ahead.

A Hydrating Face Mask: Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
I've tried more face masks than I care to admit, and I keep coming back to the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask ($49) whenever my skin needs some TLC. It's very thick and moisturizing but not too intense for my sensitive, combination skin. I immediately take a big exhale once it's on, and it makes my Sunday nights a little less scary.
Great For Pain and Knots: Kieba Massage Lacrosse Balls For Myofascial Release
If you have shoulder pain that never seems to go away, as I do, you need these Kieba Massage Lacrosse Balls For Myofascial Release ($13). I used them once in a Pilates class, and they got out a knot that must've been there for over a year. Now, I can't imagine life without them; think of it as a much more targeted foam roller.
CBD Gummies: Lord Jones Old Fashioned CBD Gumdrops
CBD is a cool thing to try if you want to destress. If you're of age (21+), I recommend these Lord Jones Old Fashioned CBD Gumdrops ($35). They're delicious, and I take one before I go to bed, so that I don't stay up for hours watching "Friends".
A Headache Helper: Gel Eye Mask With Eye Holes
Ok, hear me out on this one. I get headaches, and I was putting ice packs on my face that kept falling off. This Gel Eye Mask With Eye Holes ($8, originally $10) is genius because I don't have to worry about that, and it makes me feel like a superhero.
A Yummy Relaxing Drink: Kin Spritz
If you're looking to cut back on your alcohol intake but still like to enjoy a fun beverage, you need this Kin Spritz ($39 for eight) in your life. It's relaxing and yummy; what could be better? To get specific, it's formulated with things like adaptogens, nootropics, and botanics like Rhodiola Rosea, 5-HTP, and Gaba to elevate your mood, give you a burst of energy, and regulate your stress.
A Calming Candle: Maison Louis Marie Candle No.4 Bois De Balincourt
For me, lighting a candle means I'm home for a while. It's kind of my switch into relaxation mode, so I'll be stocking up on this delightful Maison Louis Marie Candle No.4 Bois De Balincourt ($36). It smells like sandalwood, but it's not overpowering.
An Interactive Book: You've Got This! by Jessica MacLeish
POPSUGAR's latest book, You've Got This! ($10) by Jessica MacLeish, is the perfect gift to give to any young person struggling as they embark on a new school year. A Natural Body Scrub: C & The Moon Malibu Made Body Scrub
This C & The Moon Malibu Made Body Scrub ($64) is a real treat. It smells like a cupcake and leaves your skin softer than you could possibly imagine, even without moisturizer. I use it once or twice a week, and it's one of my favorite shower or bathtime products.
A Caffeine Fix: Pique Tea Sun Goddess Matcha
My day starts when I take my first sip of iced matcha. This Pique Tea Sun Goddess Matcha ($52, originally $58) is really high quality, and when it comes to matcha, taste is so important. Matcha is a green tea powder that gets whisked and then poured generally over water or milk, and it notably contains L-theanine, which promotes calm and balance. When I drink matcha, I don't get the same jittery feeling I do with coffee.
Great For Sore Muscles: Love Sweat Fitness 2-in-1 Foam Roller
If you're reading this, you probably need to foam roll. Yes, it might be painful in the moment, but the results are well worth it. We like this Love Sweat Fitness 2-in-1 Foam Roller ($35).
A Silk Hair Tie: Slip Small Slipsilk Scrunchies
When I'm stressed, I usually get a headache and have the urge to retie my ponytail. These Slip Small Slipsilk Scrunchies ($39) are beloved because they keep your hair back without producing that dreaded bend, and without giving you a headache. It's a win all around.
A Fun Way to Get Hydrated: Prodyne FI-3 Fruit Infusion Flavor Pitcher
One of the most important cornerstones of wellness is staying hydrated, and while I love my collagen lattes and kombuchas, I need to get more regular water in my life. Enter the Prodyne FI-3 Fruit Infusion Flavor Pitcher ($25, originally $32), which infuses my water with a little bit of fruit, jazzing it up a bit. My favorite combos are raspberry pineapple and cucumber mint, but the world's your oyster when it comes to these.
Blue Light Glasses: Felix Gray Hamilton Glasses
Since we're all staring at a screen all day long, we need blue light glasses. When I don't wear these Felix Gray Hamilton Glasses ($110), I can feel the headache come on. Plus, the frames are so cute!
A Gratitude Practice: The Five Minute Journal
You've seen The Five Minute Journal ($29) everywhere, and it really does work. There's something so satisfying about starting and ending your day with gratitude and reflection. Read our review of The Five Minute Journal for more details.
A Bath Soak: Ouai Chill Pills Bath Bombs
My brother gave me these Ouai Chill Pills Bath Bombs ($30) and wow, they're great. I'm lucky enough to have a bathtub, and it's a really nice treat to soak after a long day. It smells like jasmine and rose, which is so lovely.
An Ice Roller: The Skinny Confidential Hot Mess Ice Roller
My face gets puffy easily, and this The Skinny Confidential Hot Mess Ice Roller ($69) is a lifesaver. I keep it in the freezer and roll it over my face. It's even helped me with headaches. Read our review of The Skinny Confidential Hot Mess Ice Roller for more details.
A Great Yoga Mat: Alo Warrior Mat
I need to get some kind of movement in every day for my sanity, and I can do just about anything on a yoga mat. This Alo Warrior Mat ($128) is a really sturdy option — you won't slip out of downward dog with this mat! It's a wellness essential that's key to my daily routine.
A Gua Sha Tool: Kora Organics Rose Quartz Heart Facial Gua Sha
Gua sha is a facial sculpting technique that isn't always the most comfortable experience, but I find it really relaxing when I practice it. Plus, I love the way my face looks afterward. This Kora Organics Rose Quartz Heart Facial Gua Sha ($60) is so cute and so useful.
A Weighted Blanket: Bearaby Cotton Napper
If you don't have a weighted blanket, this is the year to invest in one. We like the look and feel of this Bearaby Cotton Napper ($199-279), and you can customize its weight. It's cotton, so it's not unseasonably warm, and its perfect for a cozy morning or night.
A Cheeky Cookbook: How to Be Vegan and Keep Your Friends
Aside from being a brilliant title, "How to Be Vegan and Keep Your Friends" ($13) is something I can use to help ease my anxieties about eating plant-based in a group setting. It also makes for a funny gift. Your friends might even want to try some of the recipes.
Great For Sore Muscles: Theragun Elite Percussive Therapy Device
When I'm stressed, I get knots in my back, as so many of us do. Instead of living in pain, I use the Theragun Elite Percussive Therapy Device ($299, originally $399). It's intense, but it really does work like you've just gotten a deep tissue massage.
A Handy Calming Kit: Pinch Provisions Digital Detox Kit
In my opinion, everything starts with sleep, which is why I like this Pinch Provisions Digital Detox Kit ($26). I've learned through experience that watching TV or being on my phone right before bed severely hinders my quality of sleep, and this kit is the perfect complement to my willpower. It includes earplugs, a sleep mask, an alarm clock, a phone sleeve, a timer, detox tips, an infinity fidget cube, and activity dice.
Cozy Sweats: Alo Muse Sweatpants
This might sound insane to some people, but here's the truth: I didn't own sweatpants before 2020. I never saw the need for clothes that I wouldn't wear out of the house; I'd either put on leggings or pajama pants. However, I've learned recently that it is really nice to be in loose, comfortable clothing. Shocking, I know. These Alo Muse Sweatpants ($108) do the job and still make me feel slightly pulled together.
For Digestive Health: O Positiv FLO-Biotics Probiotic Soft Chew
You've likely seen a gummy vitamin, but now there's probiotic soft chews, and we're so on board. To support your digestive health and promote healthy gut flora, take an O Positiv FLO-Biotics Probiotic Soft Chew ($30) each day. They taste like candy!
A Good Book: Malibu Rising
Another thing I like to do to de-stress? Read. When I'm curled up with a candle, my water bottle, and a great book, I'm impossibly happy. Taylor Jenkins Reid's "Malibu Rising" ($17, originally $28) is next on my list.
Natural Deodorant That Actually Works: Corpus Natural Deodorant
Do you know what's stressful? Deodorants with aluminum and other harsh chemicals. This Corpus Natural Deodorant ($24) is the only natural deodorant I've been able to wear all day long without needing to reapply. It comes in the loveliest rose scent, as well as a sandalwood option and a citrus, fresh scent called No. Green.
A Coffee Addition: Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Supplement
This Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Supplement ($24) is a great addition to my morning matcha latte. It doesn't taste like anything, makes it a bit more frothy, which I love, and helps with the health of my hair, skin, and nails. The added protein doesn't hurt either.
