Fitbit is the OG smart step tracker. If you have one of Fitbit's many wearable devices, you can use their comprehensive app to track steps and sleep, plus log food, set and manage goals, connect with friends, and record your workouts. However, even if you don't have a Fitbit device, you can still use their app to track your steps using what they call Fitbit MobileTrack. Just download the app and, when you're asked which tracker you're setting up, choose "just the app" and follow the MobileTrack instructions.
