Popsugar Fitness Healthy Eating Tips PigOut Vegan Bacon Chips These Vegan, Gluten-Free "Bacon" Chips Will Be the Talk of Your Group Chat Soon March 15, 2019 by Samantha Brodsky View On One Page Photo 5 of 9 ADVERTISEMENT () Start Slideshow View this post on Instagram Serious goodness right here 🤤 Highly recommend trying Chef Dave’s #PlantBased #PigOutBacon Mac n Cheese recipe with your first bag of #PigOutChips! 👨🏼🍳🥓🚫🐷🧀✨ - INGREDIENTS: 1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked in salted water and strained 1 bag Original #PigOutChips 1 3/4 cups water 1 1/2 tablespoons agar agar flakes 1 1/2 tablespoons tapioca starch 1 cup cashews, soaked 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast 1/2 tablespoon sea salt 1/8 cup canola oil 1 tablespoons unrefined red palm oil 2 teaspoons lemon juice 2 teaspoons mellow white miso 1/4 teaspoon onion granules 1/8 teaspoon garlic granules Black pepper to taste PREPARATION: 1. Cook elbow macaroni per instructions. 2. Combine the water, agar agar and tapioca starch in a small saucepan. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil for one minute. 3. Place the cashews, nutritional yeast, salt, canola oil, coconut oil, red palm oil, lemon juice, miso, onion granules, garlic granules and black pepper in the blender. Pour the agar agar mixture into the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is a smooth liquid. 4. Place the elbow macaroni in a large mixing bowl. Pour in the cheese sauce and stir until well combined. Taste and adjust the salt and pepper, if necessary.
