The USWNT Just Won Their Fourth SheBelieves Cup — See Some Stellar Highlights

It's more gold for the US women's national soccer team! In a Feb. 24 match against Argentina, the USWNT clinched their second consecutive and fourth overall SheBelieves Cup, becoming the first team in the tournament's six-year history to win back-to-back titles. According to the Olympic Channel, this year's USWNT are also the first squad in the four-team round-robin tournament's history to shut out their opponents in all three matches.

Megan Rapinoe scored the first goal of the match against Argentina. It was her sixth total SheBelieves Cup goal, making her the top scorer in the tournament's history. She proceeded to score the next goal after that, only adding to her record.

Alex Morgan Scores Her First Goal Since Giving Birth

Alex Morgan gave birth to her daughter, Charlie, in May of last year. She scored the team's fifth goal of the night — it was the 108th international goal of her career, giving her sole possession of fifth place on the USWNT's all-time scoring list.

Christen Press Scores Her 60th International Goal, Tied For Ninth-Most in USWNT History

Christen Press's goal in the 88th minute of the 2021 SheBelieves Cup match against Argentina gave her 60 for her USWNT career, tied for the ninth-most in team history. "Every time you score when you represent your country, it's a huge honor," she told The Associated Press ahead of the match with Argentina. "A lot of work, a lot of shots go into a single goal. So, I feel very proud to represent this team, and I will continue to do everything in my power to do that well."

Rose Lavelle Wins the 2021 SheBelieves Cup MVP Award

Midfielder Rose Lavelle was voted the tournament's most valuable player after the 2021 SheBelieves Cup finale. Though she scored the game-winning goal in the first match against Canada and had an assist in the last match, Lavelle said in a postmatch interview that she thought other players deserved the award more.
