Season two of the rom-com series leaves viewers with quite the cliffhanger, so let's break down exactly what happens.
The biggest storyline in the finale is Emily (Collins) being stuck between a rock and a hard place as she's faced with two major career choices: return to Chicago with her marketing mentor Madeline (Kate Walsh) and say goodbye to Paris, or stay behind to join Sylvie's (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) new firm following the "French Revolution" of Savoir's staff? Torn between both sides, Emily contemplates her decision for much of the season two finale. But, of course, her troubles don't end there.
After learning that Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) must return to London because he extended his stay in Paris for her, Emily agrees to try out a long-distance relationship. However, she later blurts out to Mindy (Ashley Park) that she's still in love with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and goes to his apartment to profess her love. But before she can get the words out, she's interrupted by Camille (Camille Razat), who informs her that she's moving in after reconciling with Gabriel (yikes). A heart-broken Emily then roams the streets of Paris before she calls Sylvie to inform her she's made a decision about whether or not she's staying in Paris. Cut to the end credits and that's all viewers are left with as season three will surely reveal Emily's final choice (or will it?).
