I can't wait to work my way up to scorpion handstand!

The pictures are very inspiring. The text is like, "Who would even bother?" Not the most encouraging of fitness articles... Yoga isn't always about how long one has studied, but the individual's ability. I have only been practicing for 3 months and I can in fact do at least a couple of these poses. If my instructor had the same attitude as the author, I would never have even tried. I usually find a good deal of encouragement at Fitsugar! :)

I'm like cirque du soleil flexible and my instructors don't usually know beyond level 5 poses, so sometimes I have to improvise =/ These poses have inspired me to work on my balance and strength so I can manage them =D Thanks for the post!

Yeah I agree. I'll definitely be thinking of these yogis the next time I'm on my mat.

That peacock variation is insane!  I don't even know how one would attempt to get in and out of that pose!

Wow. Inspiring is right. I can't imagine ever being able to attempt any of these, but it definitely makes me want to try harder for the poses I am working on. It's pretty incredible how people can discipline their bodies.
