Fiber and Protein Combine to Make the Perfect Post-Run Smoothie

Smoothies — everybody seems to be drinking them these days, including Hollywood powerhouse Jennifer Aniston. She shared with us that she couldn't stop making this vegan treat — despite not being vegan herself — and for good reason: "It's basically like a milkshake," Jen says.

Full of fiber and protein, Jen's smoothie makes a great breakfast but an even better postworkout treat; it's full of ingredients like cherries and walnuts, which are known for having anti-inflammatory properties and soothing sore muscles.

Cherry Smoothie Recipe


  1. 1/2 cup water
    1 scoop vegan protein powder
    1/2 banana
    1 cup frozen cherries
    1/2 tablespoon maca powder
    1/2 tablespoon ground flaxseed
    1 to 2 drops chocolate stevia
    5 walnuts


Place all ingredients in a blender, and mix until smooth. Enjoy immediately!
