The Swiss watch brand IWC Schaffhausen gathered stars in France for the Cannes Film Festival in the town of Antibes last night for its For the Love of Cinema party. The location was the luxurious seaside Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, which made for a picturesque night. Rooney Mara, Naomi Watts, and Karolína Kurková were among the famous women who hit the red carpet wearing timepieces from the brand, as did actor Christoph Waltz and race car driver Lewis Hamilton. The group was treated to a performance by Jamiroquai's Jay Kay and dinner inside the hotel's restaurant.
Wearing a long-sleeved leather Balmain dress, Karolína discussed her bold choice and said, "It's not short!" She also revealed that her travels to Cannes were partially for work and partially for a family vacation with her husband, Archie Drury, and their son, Tobin. Naomi, meanwhile, wore a chic floral gown from Dolce & Gabbana. She told us on the red carpet that when in the South of France, she dresses the part. Though her day-to-day choices aren't fancy, she ups the fashion ante even more than usual for premieres and events at the festival's iconic Palais.
More information about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's split is starting to filter in, just a few days after it was announced that Rob and Kristen had broken up. According to People magazine, the two had been spending less time together ever since they both returned to LA after spending time in NYC together while Kristen attended the 2013 Met Gala earlier this month. Sources told the magazine, "Kristen has been in a terrible mood, and it was obvious that things were not great with Rob." The source also says that the two have been spending more time "at their separate houses." According to earlier reports, the two had been living together at the home of Kristen's mother in the LA area with their two dogs, Bear and Bernie.
News of Robert and Kristen's split hit on Saturday evening, with some blaming the breakup on the fact that Rob didn't attend the birthday bash that Kristen had thrown in his honor. People now reports that Rob had a separate bash at his house, but Kristen wasn't around. A friend told the magazine, "He had friends over at his house, but Kristen was not part of the celebration. For the past few days, they have not spent any time together." Despite the news of their breakup, some sources have already spilled that they think Rob and Kristen could get back together very soon.
James Franco toasted Ahna O'Reilly at a dinner party held on a yacht last night in Cannes. The event, thrown by James and The Art of Elysium, honored the actress's impressive debut at the film festival. Ahna is starring in not one but two movies being presented at the cinematic celebration. She acts alongside James in his latest passion project, As I Lay Dying, and is also in town for the premiere of Fruitvale Station, which was one of the most talked-about films at Sundance earlier this year. That project saw Ahna reunite with her The Help costar, Octavia Spencer, who stopped by the soiree last night. Guests mingled on the deck — where James and Ahna were the center of attention — over Champagne and dinner as the sun set on the South of France.

Last night, they shared a hug as James arrived before catching up with the creative crowd in attendance. It was a relaxed evening for the pair, who are preparing to unveil As I Lay Dying tonight at its Cannes premiere. The movie is an adaptation of William Faulkner's most acclaimed novel and marks James's feature-length directorial debut. It's one of 17 movies from around the world in competition at the festival, which continues throughout the week.
Reese Witherspoon and ex-husband Ryan Phillippe got together on the sidelines of their son Deacon's soccer game on Saturday in LA's Brentwood District. The group mingled during the match, with Reese and Paulina chatting in the grass. It was a loving weekend for Tom Brady, wife Gisele Bündchen, and kids Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian in Boston. The family fun got started yesterday when the Bündchen-Brady crew attended Tom's sister Nancy's graduation from Boston University. As well as getting in quality time with his immediate family, Tom was reunited with relatives and close friends for the special occasion where baby Vivian stole the show as she was passed around to be held. On Sunday, Tom and Gisele snuck kisses as they treated the kids to an afternoon outdoors.
Gisele and Vivian were back in Boston with their boys this weekend after a trip to NYC where they hit the pavement for a mother-daughter stroll on Thursday. While Gisele chose Vivian as her city companion for her most recent trip, she had Tom by her side for a date night at the Met Gala in NYC earlier this month.
