Behold, the Internet's Boyfriends of 2020
We can all agree that 2020 was rough, but thankfully we had a lot of eye candy to distract us. As we tuned into countless shows and movies this year, we became fixated on the hot actors featured in them. You know the deal: you develop a crush, go down a rabbit hole learning everything about them online, watch all of their interviews on YouTube, gawk at their snaps on social media, and before you know it, you're referring to them as your celebrity boyfriend to friends and family.
We get it, even us POPSUGAR editors had our own personal crushes this year. We fell head over heels for Lucas Bravo from Emily in Paris, got in our feelings over Rahul Kohli and his mustache on The Haunting of Bly Manor, and thirsted over Justin H. Min on The Umbrella Academy season two. As we look back on this past year, let's reminisce about all the hot actors who became the internet's boyfriends in 2020.
Michael Cimino From Hulu's Love, Victor
Thanks to his starring role on the heartwarming Love, Simon TV spinoff, we all developed deep feelings for Michael Cimino. Plus, have you heard him sing?
Austin Abrams From Netflix's Dash & Lily
While Austin Abrams already had quite the following from Euphoria, he stole our hearts as the dashing leading man from Netflix's romantic comedy series, Dash & Lily.
Lamorne Morris From Hulu's Woke
We all know and love Lamorne Morris from New Girl, but there was just something about his character on Hulu's Woke that did something for us. As one of our editors pointed out: "there's a certain charm in a softboi who possesses the perfect blend of intelligence and insecurity."
Paul Mescal From Hulu's Normal People
When Hulu's Normal People came out, it was a huge phenomenon, so it goes without saying that people quickly fell for newcomer Paul Mescal.
John Clarence Stewart From NBC's Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist
From the moment that John Clarence Stewart opened his mouth to sing "Mad World," we knew we had a new musical crush.
Darren Barnet From Netflix's Never Have I Ever
Whether you were Team Ben or Team Paxton, you can't deny Darren Barnet's good looks and charm.
Lucas Bravo From Netflix's Emily in Paris
While people had mixed feelings about Lucas Bravo's character on Emily in Paris, the French actor made hearts swoon across the globe.
David Corenswet From Netflix's Hollywood
We developed a deep obsession with the actor when he appeared on The Politician season one, and thankfully, Ryan Murphy blessed us our screens with more David Corenswet during Hollywood.
Charlie Gillespie From Netflix's Julie and the Phantoms
OK, but how cute was Charlie Gillespie on Julie and the Phantoms? If his singing doesn't do it for you, his sleeveless shirts certainly will.
Justin Cornwell From Netflix's Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey
Not only does Justin Cornwell have the voice of an angel, he looks like one too. Thank you, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey for this perfect gift.
Oliver Jackson-Cohen From Netflix's The Haunting of Bly Manor
Oliver Jackson-Cohen's character on The Haunting of Bly Manor was far from Prince Charming, but boy did we thirst over the actor.
Jonathan Majors From HBO Max's Lovecraft Country
Lovecraft Country was filled with intense moments, but Jonathan Majors's beautiful face offered us some comfort.
Booboo Stewart From Netflix's Julie and the Phantoms
Whether he's playing a werewolf in the Twilight movies or the son of Jafar in the Descendants franchise, our love for Booboo Stewart knows no bounds. And Netflix's Julie and the Phantoms just further solidified that fact.
Taylor Zakhar Perez From Netflix's The Kissing Booth 2
Not gonna lie, we're still mad that Elle didn't pick Marco in the end. Thankfully, we have more Taylor Zakhar Perez to look forward to in the third film.
Sebastian de Souza From Hulu's The Great
We didn't expect to fall in love with Sebastian de Souza in a period drama about Catherine the Great, but it happened, and we're not mad.
Josh O'Connor From Netflix's The Crown
While Josh O'Connor's "character" on The Crown is completely awful, we fell in love with the actor offscreen thanks to his cute interviews and striking photoshoots.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster From Netflix's The Queen's Gambit
Thomas Brodie-Sangster's character on The Queen's Gambit had people feeling some sort of way this year. Who knew a chess playing cowboy could be so attractive?
Jeremy Pope From Netflix's Hollywood
Bless Hollywood for introducing us to the dreamy Jeremy Pope. We're gonna need Ryan Murphy to book him on all of his shows going forward!
Barton Cowperthwaite From Netflix's Tiny Pretty Things
Let's be real, there is a ton of eye candy on Tiny Pretty Things — I mean, pretty is literally in the title — but a lot of people were thirsting over Barton Cowperthwaite in particular.
Regé-Jean Page From Netflix's Bridgerton
So, Netflix's Bridgerton doesn't come out until Dec. 25, but trust us when we say: Regé-Jean Page is about to become your newest TV crush. I mean, just look at him!
