In 2017, we laughed, we cried, and, perhaps most of all, we shopped. When we hit up cosmetics counters this year, chances are we bought one of the following 30 products. Whether we wanted skin care or lipstick, it's safe to say these ubiquitous products earned their buzz in the past 12 months.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation ($34) absolutely dominated beauty news in the Fall of 2017. The matte, medium-coverage formula is a testament to the brand's dedication to inclusivity, as it comes in 40 shades fit for just about every skin tone. It's won fans in Naomi Campbell, Cardi B, Gabby Sidibe, and just about everyone else who put it on their gorgeous faces.
L'Oréal Paris Lash Paradise Mascara
With its millennial pink packaging and sleek design, this L'Oréal Paris Lash Paradise Mascara ($9) quickly earned raves as a dupe for Too Faced's lauded Better Than Sex. But make no mistake: this drugstore tube holds up on its own, no comparison required. Since its applicator has over 200 bristles, it makes lashes fan out like nobody's business. Plus, it offers flake-free coverage that lasts all day (but is easy to remove when it comes time for beddy bye!).
Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam
Who says second- (or third-) day hair has to be a bad thing? Certainly not Jen Atkin, whose Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam ($22) revamped the saturated strand-refreshing market. Whether your trouble area is dirt, grease, or a little too much hairspray, Jen Atkin told us this foam has got your back — er, head. "Use this foam as a magic eraser," she said. "It's like taking your hair to the dry cleaner!"

The totally glam Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette ($65) contains 18 hues in various finishes. There are creamy mattes, metallic foils, iridescent pearl shades, and straight-up glitter to throw on over your eyes.
Kat Von D Lolita Eye Shadow & Blush
The chestnut-rose color that launched a bona-fide beauty cult is a perennial favorite, but this year, Lolita got a major boost with the release of its own eye shadow and blush hybrid. That product, along with matching lipsticks and liner, can be found in the Lolita Obsession Collector's Edition 7-Piece Set ($104).
KKW Beauty Powder Contour & Highlight Kit
For her very first beauty launch, Kim Kardashian dropped (what else?) the Powder Contour & Highlight Kit ($52). These made a whopping $14 million in just three hours, and soon a cream option was born.

You probably know that Coco Chanel once said, "Fashion fades; only style is eternal." The same can be said about a good red lipstick. So here's the story from A to Z: Victoria Beckham released a limited-edition Smudgy Matte Eyeliner ($45), and it was what we wanted, what we really, really wanted. As Posh herself told us, "I'll use it sometimes to elongate my eyes, because it's got such a great little micro tip. You can get a really great shape, a nice little flip on the outside of the eyes." We love how it gives us instant bedroom eyes that last from morning until night.
Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow
The Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow ($24) proves that you don't need to go for powder to get in on the glitter craze. And you need not be an expert either. The large, doe-foot applicator on these bad boys makes them ridiculously easy to apply, so we can glitter on into the new year.
Victoria's Secret Love
Any product that's made to smell like a "boyfriend's tee" gets our stamp of approval. Who doesn't want to wrap themselves up in their boo thang's musk? One whiff of Victoria's Secret Love ($52) emulates that fabulously ubiquitous scent.
Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara
The fluffy bristles on Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara ($25) happen to be part of the brand's biggest brush yet. That means extra volume, oomph, and life with one swipe of this mascara.
Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Just about everything the darling skincare brand Sunday Riley touches turns to gold — or at least clear skin. The Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask ($55) is no exception. Along with clearing pores and preventing future breakouts, it's made of hydrating tea tree and manuka oils, which means it won't save your complexion at the expense of moisturizing.
I Dew Care Disco Kitten
When a megastore like Ulta can't keep a product from flying off its shelves, you know it's got to be good. This Summer, Disco Kitten ($17, originally $23) was the metallic mask that launched a thousand selfies. What's more was that it seriously worked to instantly brighten your complexion (at a cost — one POPSUGAR editor warned that it can be tough to take off!). Despite the trickiness, the K-beauty infused formula of lily, jasmine, orange flower, elderflower, and magnolia really works to reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines, and discoloration.
