14 Bachelor Nation Contestants Who Got the Short End of the Stick on Their Seasons

Over the years, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have brought contestants who have been universally embraced and hated by viewers across the country. Their stories and personalities are so compelling to watch that we almost end up caring more about them as individuals than the possibility of an engagement at the end of the season — almost!

While the Bachelors and Bachelorettes may find the happy ending they were looking for on the show, some of our favorite contestants from the series may not. We've compiled a list of the contestants from the The Bachelor and The Bachelorette from over the years who deserved more than the outcome they got during their time on the show.

01
Olivia Caridi (Bachelor, Season 20)
ABC

Olivia Caridi (Bachelor, Season 20)

Olivia was deemed the villain of Bachelor Ben Higgins's season. Sure, she was a bit over the top with her approach with Ben and made the funniest facial expressions, but I think this was a case of mischaracterization due to the show's editing, and she didn't deserve the hate she got because of that.

02
Bekah Martinez (Bachelor, Season 22)
ABC

Bekah Martinez (Bachelor, Season 22)

Bekah was one of the youngest contestants on Arie's season of The Bachelor and received a lot of backlash because of it. The women questioned her authenticity and readiness to get married, and it really just wasn't fair to her. She's currently living her best life, taking care of her newborn baby.

03
Wills Reid (Bachelorette, Season 14)
ABC

Wills Reid (Bachelorette, Season 14)

Wills is arguably one of the most fashion-forward contestants in Bachelor Nation. He graced Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette with his stylish suits and charming personality. Honestly, Wills deserved more screen time just for his fashion alone.

04
Andi Dorfman (Bachelor, Season 18; Bachelorette, Season 10)
ABC

Andi Dorfman (Bachelor, Season 18; Bachelorette, Season 10)

Andi deserved better mainly because she dealt with Juan Pablo for almost an entire season. She then became the Bachelorette and ended up with Josh Murray, who turned out to be another loser. Neither of these men deserved this queen in the first place, to be honest.

05
Eric Bigger (Bachelorette, Season 13)
ABC

Eric Bigger (Bachelorette, Season 13)

Eric was one of the final three contestants on Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette. He expressed that he had never been in love before until Rachel but was unfortunately eliminated. Eric was very grateful and respectful toward Rachel, and that is why he deserves the whole world forever.

06
Seinne Fleming (Bachelor, Season 22)
ABC

Seinne Fleming (Bachelor, Season 22)

Seinne was well-known for the fact that she graduated from Yale University, but the show didn't include much beyond that. Yes, we were able to see the relationship she developed with Arie, but it didn't feel like we saw enough of her personality. The glimpses we got told us enough about her that we know she deserved more screen time.

07
Caila Quinn (Bachelor, Season 21)
ABC

Caila Quinn (Bachelor, Season 21)

Caila had a connection with Ben Higgins from their first date. Even though it didn't work out, she went on Bachelor in Paradise and developed a relationship with Jared Haibon. It seemed like everything was working out between them, but the drama with Ashley Iaconetti got in the way of that relationship. This drama overshadowed her chance to find love on the show, unfortunately.

08
Joe Amabile (Bachelorette, Season 14)
ABC

Joe Amabile (Bachelorette, Season 14)

Joe was the grocery store owner who stole the hearts of all of Bachelor Nation. He was first introduced on Becca's season but was sent home the very first night. We didn't even get the chance to see him interact with Becca beyond his limo entrance, and we still feel cheated (even though he went on Bachelor in Paradise and fell in love with Kendall).

09
Jubilee Sharpe (Bachelor, Season 20)
ABC

Jubilee Sharpe (Bachelor, Season 20)

Jubilee is still one of the most underrated contestants on the show ever. She had a tragic past but became stronger because of it. While it didn't work out with Ben, she went onto Bachelor in Paradise and ended up making a connection with John, the Venmo guy. In the end, we didn't even get the chance to see her leave the show or find out why John and Jubilee's relationship didn't work out.

10
Matt Donald (Bachelorette, Season 15)
ABC

Matt Donald (Bachelorette, Season 15)

Matt Donald has officially become the "Grocery Store Joe" of this season. How could Hannah not fall for this cutie? Sure, the limo, er, tractor, entrance was a little awkward, but it was charming! Plus, our hearts melted watching Matt speaking sign language with his family. He at least deserved a chance.

11
Blake Horstmann (Bachelorette, Season 14)
ABC

Blake Horstmann (Bachelorette, Season 14)

I personally fell in love with Blake the moment he stepped out of the limo on Becca's season. I especially loved the fact that he admired her strength and independence and he would've given her the love she needed and space to be independent. So it was that much worse watching Becca break his heart. He is still one of the contestants I believe deserved better.

12
Taylor Nolan (Bachelor, Season 21)
ABC

Taylor Nolan (Bachelor, Season 21)

Taylor was well-known for feuding with fellow Bachelor contestant Corinne Olympios. However, Taylor was one of the many intelligent and independent women who have graced the show, and she was the victim of mischaracterization due to the show's editing.

13
Clay Harbour (Bachelorette, Season 14)
ABC

Clay Harbour (Bachelorette, Season 14)

When Clay met Becca on The Bachelorette, sparks flew between these two almost immediately. He even received the group date rose when they played football! But when he found out that his injured wrist was worse than he thought, he made the painful choice to leave the show to get surgery. It broke all of our hearts to watch Clay's goodbye to Becca because it seemed like they had something special early on, and it sucked that their time was cut short.

14
Kenny King (Bachelorette, Season 13)
ABC

Kenny King (Bachelorette, Season 13)

Kenny King is best known as the pro wrestler who was a single dad vying for Rachel Lindsay's love on season 13 of The Bachelorette. The show seemed to focus more on the tension between him and contestant Lee Garrett rather than his relationship with Rachel, and Kenny was sent home shortly after Lee. Kenny was invited back onto Bachelor in Paradise, where his stay was short-lived after missing his daughter too much. Since his time on the show, we're happy to report that Kenny has found love, and we wish him nothing but the best!
