15 Reasons Meghan Markle Should Feel Damn Proud to Wear a Pantsuit

If Meghan Markle broke royal protocol by wearing this Alexander McQueen pantsuit to the Endeavour Awards, I certainly wasn't concerned. I thought she looked slick and stylish in her tailored pieces, a touch feminine thanks to a Tuxe pussybow blouse, and maybe even a little sexy in those sky-high Manolo Blahnik pumps. To me, her outfit was perfect, though fans of the British crown and palace might have been worried about her decision to ditch a dress.

But Meghan's already made waves on the style front, choosing a top handle tote over a clutch and nixing tights to announce her engagement. We are here to prove she's not the only lady of high status who prefers slacks over a gown from time to time. Ahead, you can find 15 royals, from sophisticated, fashion-forward types like Queen Rania of Jordan and Princess Charlene to front-row mavens such as Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz, who make a pantsuit look fresher than a couture skirt straight out of the atelier. And they should all feel damn proud.
